A work by Leonid Tsvetkov using pinewood end grain was used as a starting point for a collaboration. In the process of pattern exploration and function various one-off furniture pieces were made. During the process the composition of clear geometric patterns transformed into seemingly random repetitions. A variety of finishes on the end grain surfaces were explored such as burning, dyeing, bleaching, sandblasting and waxing.
